Last night’s performance against No. 3 Portland embodied the Huskies’ “early and often” offensive approach, as No. 11 Washington led the number three team in the nation 3-0 just 15 minutes into the contest. The Purple and Gold went on to win 4-2 to claim the pivotal Pacific Northwest victory. Since dropping their home opener, the Huskies have stormed back to notch eight goals in two games. See each of last night’s tallies. 

Contentious postseason rematch next 

Now, the Huskies head to Corvallis for a border-state battle against former conference foe No. 25 Oregon State. The Beavers were Washington’s first-round obstacle during the 2025 NCAA Championship run. The Huskies finished on top of a double overtime, five goal thriller to advance, avenging their early-season loss to Oregon State. Returning seniors Harrison Bertos and Connor Lofy both scored in the contest, with Lofy’s header tying the match in the 85th minute.

• No. 24 Michigan State scored with a bicycle kick assist on a header goal?! Oscar Huerta and Conner O’Keefe, you gotta be kidding me! The sequence helped the Spartans to a 4-0 rout of SIUE. 

• No. 14 Indiana topped in-state foe Butler, 1-0, when Nick McHenry blasted a laser right past the Bulldogs’ keeper. The Hoosiers are now 3-0 and have allowed just one goal so far this season. 

• Penn State gears up to battle for Pennsylvania pride tonight against Pitt at home. Canadian forward Amadou Kone, the Nittany Lions’ leading points scorer through two games, hopes to jumpstart the offense and keep a W in State College tonight at 7 p.m. ET on B1G+.
