<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference recognized a total of 1,127 students on winter sports rosters who have been named to the <a href="https://img.boostsport.ai/boost-cms/Winter2026AcademicAllBigTenFINAL.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">
 Academic All-Big Ten Team

<div class="payload-richtext">The Big Ten Network today announced its 2026 Big Ten Winter Championships schedule, including men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s indoor track and field and men’s and women’s gymnastics. BTN will also broadcast the wrestling championships and men’s ice hockey tournament semifinals and championship in March, with full broadcast details announced at a later date.Coverage kicks off Feb. 18-21, with the Big Ten Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships presented by Allstate.  </a> urging the NCAA to continue pushing for limitations or the outright elimination of proposition (“prop”) betting involving individual student-athletes competing in college athletics. The letter reinforces the Big Ten Conference’s unwavering commitment to protecting the well-being and safety of student-athletes across all 18 Big Ten campuses, and the integrity of intercollegiate athletics.“The Big Ten Conference is proud to support our student-athletes in calling for the restriction or elimination of individual proposition wagers on college athletics,” said Big Ten Conference Commissioner Tony Petitti. Limiting or eliminating prop betting on college athletics would be a meaningful step toward reducing harassment, protecting mental well-being, and preserving the integrity of college competition.”The Big Ten Conference SAIC was founded in 1994. SAIC members take an active role in monthly meetings discussing the issues most important to Big Ten Conference student-athletes and highlighting ongoing initiatives on their respective campuses. <div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Michigan Wolverines have been selected as a unanimous choice to win the 2026 Big Ten Men’s Gymnastics title, according a poll of the conference’s coaches announced on Thursday.Last season, the Wolverines raised their fifth consecutive Big Ten championship and secured the program’s seventh NCAA Championship. In Thursday’s preseason conference poll, Michigan was followed by Nebraska, Illinois, Penn State, and Ohio State.Four Big Ten teams advanced to the 2025 NCAA Championship finals, with Nebraska, Penn State, and Illinois finishing fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively. Three Big Ten student-athletes also claimed individual titles. Michigan’s Fred Richard won the all-around, while teammate Paul Juda won the parallel bars. Ohio State’s Kameron Nelson earned gold in the vault.In addition to Thursday’s preseason Big Ten poll, the conference unveiled the 2026 Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch List, as selected by the conference coaches.Among the 10-person Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch list are three student-athletes who earned All-Big Ten honors last season.Richard leads the trio after claiming his third consecutive all-around gold at the 2025 Big Ten championship, while Ohio State’s Jesse Pakele won gold in the floor exercise. <div class="payload-richtext">Big Ten Conference Statement on Anticipated SCORE Act Vote: As the House prepares to vote on the SCORE Act, the Big Ten remains steadfast in its support of this landmark legislation.  The SCORE Act enshrines important student-athlete protections into federal law, fortifies the educational mission of college sports, makes it possible for everyone to play by the same rules, and protects the ongoing funding structure for women's and Olympic sports, a Big Ten priority.  Countless stakeholders have come together from a wide range of perspectives, sports, conferences, and institutions to make the SCORE Act a reality and we look forward to its passage in the U.S. House of Representatives.</div>

<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. – Three Big Ten men’s gymnastics student-athletes were recently honored for their performance in the classroom, as College Sports Communicators announced its 2025 Academic All-America At-Large Team.Nebraska’s Asher Cohen and Ohio State’s Kameron Nelson were named to the Second Team, while Nebraska’s Taylor Christopulos received Third Team honors.Cohen scores his second consecutive Academic All-America honor after earning Third Team accolades in 2024. The junior finished second at the Big Ten Championships on the still rings, earning Second Team honors, before being named to the All-America Team with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships.Nelson collected the academic honor after claiming the 2025 NCAA vault title, becoming the first Buckeye to win an individual event title since Alec Yoder won pommel horse in 2019 and the first to win the vault since Pejman Ebrahimi in 2007. Nelson also captured the Big Ten vault crown, matching his 2022vault championship.Christopulos capped his collegiate career as 2025 Big Ten Gymnast of the Year and winner of the 2025 Nissan-Emery Award, presented to the nation’s most outstanding senior male collegiate gymnast.
