Michigan, Nebraska and Purdue Earn Women’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Wolverines’ Sims, Huskers’ Farman and Boilermakers’ Mallard garner weekly recognition

Swimmer of the Week  
Bella Sims, Michigan  
Sr. – Henderson, Nev.  

  • Won the 200 IM in 1:54.82 at College Swimming League Match #1, finishing more than four seconds ahead of the next-fastest finishers 
  • Finished second in the 100 IM in 52.69 at CSL Match #1, competing against swimmers from Indiana, Louisville, and Ohio State 
  • Helped Michigan to a third-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay in 1:27.23 at CSL Match #1, leading off in 21.88 
  • Last Michigan Swimmer of the Week: Bella Sims (Jan. 21, 2026) 

Diver of the Week 
Addy Farman, Nebraska 
So. - Snohomish, Wash. 

  • Won the 1-meter springboard with a score of 282.60 at the Iowa State Dual 
  • Placed fourth on the 3-meter springboard with a score of 246.90 
  • Last Nebraska Diver of the Week: Abby Baxter (Jan. 22, 2025) 

 
Freshman of the Week 
Caroline Mallard, Purdue 
Charlotte, N.C. 

  • Led the Boilermakers with a butterfly sweep and three event victories in her collegiate debut as Purdue won its season opener at Illinois, posting its 11th consecutive dual meet victory during the fall  
  • Won the 100 fly in 52.46, the 200 fly in 1:59.00 and helped Purdue to first place in the 400 free relay (3:26.11) and a second-place finish in the 200-medley relay (1:43.34) 
  • The freshman broke 2 minutes in the 200 fly, moving into 12th place in team history.
