Big Ten Reveals 2026 Women’s Soccer Postseason Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced the 2026 Women’s Soccer All-Big Ten Teams and individual awards as voted on by the conference’s 18 head coaches. Purdue’s Jaiden Anderson was tabbed as the Forward of the Year and Ohio State’s Amanda Schlueter was selected as the Midfielder of the Year. Fellow Buckeye Ava Bramblett was named Defender of the Year, while teammate Peighton Northrup was the Mia Hamant Goalkeeper of the Year. Rutgers’ Lilia Calvert was voted Freshman of the Year and Ohio State’s Lori Walker-Hock was the Coach of the Year.

Anderson is the first Boilermaker since 2021 and third overall to claim Forward of the Year recognition. This season, the junior became Purdue’s all-time single-season record holder for goals (18). She currently leads the Big Ten and ranks second nationally with 42 points and 18 goals.

For the first time since 2017, a Buckeye has been chosen as the Midfielder of the Year. Schlueter has accumulated 38 points behind 16 goals and six assists. She has been clutch for Ohio State, ranking No. 1 in the country with eight game-winning goals.

Bramblett is just the third Buckeye to be named Defender of the Year, joining Morgan Wolcott (2017) and Izzy Rodriguez (2020). The senior has been a staple in Ohio State’s defensive unit that has only allowed eight goals in 17 games and helped to secure 10 shutouts.

The Goalkeeper of the Year resides in Columbus, Ohio, for the second year in a row. Northrup leads the league with a .442 goals against average and .873 save percentage with both marks ranking in the top 10 nationally. The Big Ten recently renamed the award in honor of former Washington goalkeeper Mia Hamant.

Calvert became the fifth Scarlet Knight to be recognized as the Freshman of the Year. The rookie has started all 17 games this season and leads Rutgers in points (16), goals (6) and assists (4).

Walker-Hock claimed her fourth Coach of the Year nod after guiding Ohio State to its third Big Ten regular season title in school history with an 11-1 record and the No. 1 overall seed in the 2026 Big Ten Women’s Soccer Tournament Presented by Allstate. The Buckeyes set a record for conference wins in a season (11) and tied the program’s mark for consecutive wins in a season (9).

Schlueter and Bramblett were unanimous selections to the All-Big Ten First Team and were joined by Anderson and Northrup, while Calvert was voted onto the All-Big Ten Third Team and All-Freshman Team.

The Big Ten also recognized 18 Sportsmanship Award honorees. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These student-athletes must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
