2026-27 SCHEDULE

ROSEMONT, lll. – The Big Ten Conference announced the dates and opponents for the 2026-27 wrestling season on Tuesday. The schedule features eight conference duals for all 14 Big Ten programs and concludes with the 2027 Big Ten Wrestling Championships in March. 
 
The Big Ten season begins Sunday, Jan. 3, when Nebraska travels to Purdue. The first full weekend of action takes place Jan. 8-10 with seven matches slated. The season draws to a close on Sunday, Feb. 14.
 
Five-time defending NCAA Champion Penn State will take a 50-match conference win streak into its opener at Rutgers on Saturday, Jan. 9. The Nittany Lions have captured 90 of 91 conference duals since 2015 and claimed six-straight Big Ten regular season titles.
 
The 2027 Big Ten Wrestling Championships will be held at a neutral site for the first time in conference history when teams converge on Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The championships will begin Saturday, March 6, with the first-round, quarterfinal, semifinal and wrestleback matches taking place during Sessions I and II. Action continues Sunday, March 7, with consolation semifinals and seventh-place matches getting underway during Session III and the first-, third- and fifth-place matches highlighting Session IV.
