Oregon and Northwestern Claim Final Big Ten Softball Weekly Awards 

<div class="payload-richtext"> ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference has announced the complete 12-team, single-elimination bracket for the Big Ten Softball Tournament presented by Allstate that will take place May 6-9 at the University of Maryland.  Nebraska (43-6, 23-1 Big Ten) is the No. 1 overall seed for this year’s tournament after clinching the program’s first-ever Big Ten regular season title, tying the Big Ten record for most conference wins in a single season. The Huskers begin the postseason on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET in a quarterfinal game against the winner of No. 9 Michigan and No. 8 Ohio State.  Oregon (40-11, 20-4 Big Ten) clinched the No. 2 seed after not dropping a single Big Ten series throughout the regular season, pushing its conference series winning streak to 16 dating back to last season. The Ducks will face the winner of No. 10 Purdue vs. No. 7 Wisconsin in Thursday’s third quarterfinal game.  UCLA (45-7, 20-4 Big Ten) received the No. 3 seed and will meet either No. 11 Penn State or No. 6 Northwestern in the final quarterfinal game on Thursday.  Rounding out the top four seeds is Indiana (41-13, 17-7 Big Ten), which won seven of its eight conference series. Big Ten Reveals 2026 Softball Tournament Bracket

<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. - With a pair of wins over Penn State, Nebraska softball improved to 42-6 with a 22-1 mark in Big Ten play, clinching the outright Big Ten regular season championship. It’s Nebraska’s first outright Big Ten championship in program history, as the Huskers shared the title with Michigan in 2014.  The Huskers are on a 17-game win streak, the nation’s longest active streak, and have won 31 of their last 32 games. The streak ties as the fourth-longest in program history. Nebraska will finish its series at Penn State on Sunday at noon ET on Big Ten Network, then heads to Maryland for the Big Ten Softball Tournament presented by Allstate, scheduled for May 6-9.  </div>
