<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference recognized a total of 1,127 students on winter sports rosters who have been named to the <a href="https://img.boostsport.ai/boost-cms/Winter2026AcademicAllBigTenFINAL.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">
 Academic All-Big Ten Team

Big Ten Recognizes Winter Academic All-Big Ten Honorees 

<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced its 2026 women’s gymnastics all-conference teams on Wednesday. The All-Big Ten and All-Freshman Teams were determined based on the national qualifying scores (NQS) accumulated by student-athletes during the 2026 season.Every women’s gymnastics program was represented on this year’s all-conference teams. Michigan led the way with five All-Big Ten selections, placing two on the first team and three on the second team. Regular-season champion UCLA and Michigan State each had three gymnasts on the first team and one on the second team. Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers also had at least one gymnast on the first team.An additional 15 gymnasts were named to the All-Big Ten Second Team. Five programs were featured on the six-person all-freshman team, paced by UCLA with a pair of representatives.The Big Ten also recognized 12 Sportsmanship Award recipients in the sport of women’s gymnastics, one from each conference institution. The students chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These students must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.The 2026 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships presented by Allstate will be held March 20-21 at the University of Illinois’ State Farm Center in Champaign, Ill. The meet will be conducted in three sessions, with Illinois, Nebraska, Rutgers and Washington competing on March 20 at 6 p.m. CT. Iowa, Maryland, Ohio State and Penn State will compete in the afternoon session at 12 p.m. CT on March 21, while Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and UCLA will compete in the evening session at 5 p.m. CT. All three sessions of the 2026 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships will be televised live to a national audience on the Big Ten Network. 2026 UCLA, Minnesota and Michigan Claim Big Ten Weekly Women’s Gymnastics Honors

<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. – For the second year in a row, UCLA clinched the Big Ten Women’s Gymnastics Regular Season Championship outright after concluding its league slate with a 9-0 record.The Bruins scored a 196.950 to close out the conference season with victories over Iowa (196.475), Ohio State (196.425) and Maryland (195.025) in their Big Four Meet at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. UCLA captured three team event titles – uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise (tied) – and had gymnasts finish first on each apparatus and in the all-around.The 2026 Big Ten Women’s Gymnastics Championships will take place March 20-21 at the University of Illinois.</div>

2026 UCLA, Michigan and Michigan State Score Big Ten Weekly Women’s Gymnastics Honors

 >Potentially jeopardizing the integrity of athletic competition</li></ul>“While we understand that sports betting is becoming increasingly more common across the country and allows for states to generate increased tax revenue, prop betting represents unique risks at the college level,” the Big Ten Conference Student-Athlete Issues Commission wrote. “We believe protecting student-athletes must be a priority. Limiting or eliminating prop betting on college athletics would be a meaningful step toward reducing harassment, protecting mental well-being, and preserving the integrity of college competition.”The Big Ten Conference SAIC was founded in 1994. SAIC members take an active role in monthly meetings discussing the issues most important to Big Ten Conference student-athletes and highlighting ongoing initiatives on their respective campuses. SAIC executive leadership members also represent Big Ten student-athletes in front of the Conference’s Joint Group council and represent the Big Ten Conference on the NCAA’s Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, where they review NCAA activities, proposed legislation and offer feedback on behalf of the Big Ten’s student-athletes.  Student-athletes are nominated by their institution and appointed by the Conference’s Joint Group Executive Committee to serve on the commission for one academic year. The Big Ten Conference SAIC members signing the letter include:<ul class="list-bullet"><li
