Abbott and the Big Ten® are back to turn your school pride into saving lives.
When you donate blood, you can help save up to three lives, help your school compete for a $1 million grant, and score a limited-edition school tee*.
The competition officially kicks off August 26, but to help address current blood shortages, Abbott and the Big Ten® are urging people to donate now. Any donations made between August 12 and the official start will be honored as part of the competition.
How it Works
- Show up to donate blood at any blood drive or blood center in the U.S.
- Starting August 26, submit your donation for your Big Ten® school at BigTen.org/Abbott or by texting GIVEBLOOD to 222688 (ABBOTT)
- Check your email to claim your free T-shirt* and show off your team pride
* Shirts are limited to one per person, while supplies last. Shirts are non-transferrable, not redeemable for cash, and apply to people who present to donate.
