We Give Blood, powered by Abbott and the Big Ten®, turns the passion of fans, students, and alumni into blood donations that help strengthen the nation's blood supply.
About the Competition
Support your favorite Big Ten® school by donating blood at any blood drive or blood center in the U.S.
Every donation can help save up to three lives while bringing your school one step closer to earning $1 million to advance student or community health.
The winning school will be announced during the 2026 Discover® Big Ten® Football Championship Game on December 5, 2026.
Why this matters
The need for blood never takes an offseason.
Blood has a shelf life of up to 42 days, and donations from young people continue to decline. Every donation helps hospitals care for patients today — and keeps the blood supply ready for tomorrow.
