Adam Augustine

Senior Director, Sports Administration

Adam Augustine serves as senior director, sports administration. In this role, he serves as the primary administrative contact for the Big Ten Conference's men's hockey and women's tennis operations, while also assisting with additional Olympic Sports administrative responsibilities.

Augustine joined the Big Ten in August 2013 as associate director, communications, serving as the conference’s communications contact for the inaugural season of Big Ten hockey and media coordinator of the first Big Ten Hockey Tournament. He was promoted to director, communications in 2016 and senior director, communications and sports administration in 2021, serving as the primary contact for football and the media coordinator for the Big Ten Football Championship game from 2016-21.

Prior to joining the Big Ten, Augustine was the communications and marketing manager for US Club Soccer, a national youth and adult soccer organization based in Charleston, South Carolina. In this position, he was responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of both national and targeted marketing campaigns across multiple online and print platforms.

Before joining US Club Soccer in May 2010, Augustine spent four seasons with the University of Wisconsin women’s hockey program. From June 2006 through May 2008, he served as the primary media relations contact in the Athletic Communications office. In this position, he had the opportunity to work with one of the elite programs in women’s college hockey as the team claimed the NCAA championship in 2007. From 2008-10, Augustine gained more experience in player operations and video editing as he served as a video coordinator while also developing statistical models for team analysis and opponent scouting, including for the NCAA championship team in 2009.

Augustine earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin. He worked with the men’s hockey program at Wisconsin during all four of his years on campus, culminating with the program’s sixth national championship in 2005-06.
