CJ Michie

Assistant Director, Events & Operations

CJ Michie joined the Big Ten Conference in October 2021 and currently serves as assistant director, events and operations. In this role, Michie assists with the overall planning and management of the Big Ten Football Championship Game, Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments as well as the Big Ten Football, Basketball, and Volleyball Media Days.

Prior to joining the Big Ten, Michie spent two years in facilities and gameday operations at TCU where he played a key role in overseeing facilities and gameday operations for indoor volleyball and beach volleyball. He also assisted in facilities and gameday operations for additional sports including football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball. Michie also assisted as a primary team liaison for the Armed Forces Bowl Game that was hosted at Amon G. Carter Stadium. While in Fort Worth, Michie was an active volunteer with the Big 12 Conference for their football championship game, women’s basketball tournament, and baseball tournament as an operations assistant. Additionally, he volunteered as a team operations assistant with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Association for their annual Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, AT&T Kickoff Classic Game, and Southwest Classic.

Prior to his time at TCU, Michie spent a year as an operations intern with the Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic. During his time with the Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic, he assisted in operations and implementation for Texas vs. Georgia. He also worked as a gameday communications assistant with the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans.

Michie began working in athletics as an undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno, as a student equipment manager, team operations assistant, and marketing intern.

Michie earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2018.
