Katie Stankiewicz

Associate Director, Sports Administration

Katie Stankiewicz joined the Big Ten Conference in November 2018 as assistant director, sports administration. In her current role as associate director, sports administration, Stankiewicz manages the administration of Big Ten championship events, while also serving as a sport liaison for field hockey, women's golf, and baseball. She has previously served as the sport liaison for cross country, track and field, and women’s lacrosse.

Prior to joining the Big Ten, Stankiewicz served as the assistant director of marketing for Northwestern University Athletics from 2014-18. She first joined Northwestern’s marketing department in 2011 after working as a marketing intern with the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks (2009-11) and as a seasonal sales representative with Major League Baseball’s Chicago White Sox (2011).

A native of Downers Grove, Ill., Stankiewicz earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2009, and her master’s degree in sports administration from Northwestern in 2016.
