Nate Schnader

Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Nate Schnader is senior vice president, chief information officer of the Big Ten Conference. Schnader leads digital transformation, information technology, and security operations for the conference. He is responsible for developing and implementing the technological vision, strategy, and resources to serve the business needs of the conference including working on data analytics, fan engagement, and new conference platforms.

In his role, Schnader leads the development of a next-generation data infrastructure to better serve conference fans, member institutions, and student-athletes. He also oversees cutting-edge technology focused endeavors around storytelling, fan engagement, and revenue generation. Schnader is also actively involved in sport-technology focused efforts and other key initiatives, including a first-of-its-kind partnership with Stadia Ventures to host a global pitch day at the conference office in 2022.

Prior to joining the Big Ten Conference, he was a principal at Charles River Associates where he led high-profile matters pertaining to digital forensics, incident response, and cyber security. Schnader’s work was often used in support of civil and criminal litigation and investigative matters, including expert testimony in matters filed in U.S. federal and state courts.

Schnader earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
