Noor Davis

Associate Director, Sports Administration

Noor Davis currently serves as associate director, sports administration, at the Big Ten Conference, moving into that post in July 2022. In his role within the sports administration department, Davis manages the administration of conference championship events, while also serving as a sports administrator for track and field, cross country and men’s gymnastics.

Davis joined the Big Ten Conference in February 2020 as the conference’s first-ever fellow working in the Office of the Commissioner. In his prior role, Davis worked directly under Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren managing special projects and assisting in the day-to-day executive processes of the conference. In addition to his role within the sports administration department, Davis assists in a myriad of departments such as the Office of the Commissioner, football administration, events and operations, public affairs/communications, and diversity, equity & inclusion. 

Prior to arriving at the Big Ten, Davis worked within the front office for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, working in the player personnel department. While working for the Lions, Davis helped shape the organization’s roster-building strategy by evaluating talent and personnel, while serving as a primary point of contact for key members of football operations.

From 2017-18, Davis worked as an inside sales team lead for Rubrik, a startup software company which specializes in converged data management and disaster recovery. In this role, Davis was tasked with growing and leading the domestic and global sales and marketing efforts for Rubrik’s recently acquired company, Datos IO, while also consistently being a top five global sales performer for the company.

Davis attended Stanford University where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in communication. A former student-athlete at Stanford, Davis earned four letters as a linebacker for the Cardinal football team during a span in which the program made three appearances in the Rose Bowl (winning two) and won three Pac-12 titles. As a senior in 2016, Davis earned Academic All-Pac-12 distinctions. Following his college career, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2017. 

As an undergraduate student at Stanford, Davis worked for two years as a student assistant to Dr. Condoleezza Rice at Stanford’s Hoover Institution. Rice served as an undergraduate academic advisor and mentor throughout the course of Davis’ college experience.

A native of Leesburg, Florida, Davis attended Leesburg High School where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball, earning High School All-America honors in football, all-conference honors in basketball, and becoming a two-year member of the National Honor’s Society. As a senior in 2011, Davis won the prestigious Butkus Award, an honor given annually to the nation’s best high school linebacker.

In March of 2021, Davis was accepted to the weekend J.D. program at Loyola University Chicago’s School of Law. He began pursuing his Juris Doctorate in the fall of 2021 while simultaneously working with the Big Ten Conference. He is anticipated to graduate from law school in the spring of 2025.
