Satvik Patel Promoted to Vice President, People & Culture at Big Ten Conference

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference is pleased to announce the promotion of Satvik Patel to vice president, people & culture. As a member of the Conference’s senior leadership team, Patel will oversee all facets of people operations and human resources, including organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, benefits administration, employee engagement, and leadership development. His strategies and initiatives will continue to build a thriving workplace with a people-centric culture.

Patel joined the Big Ten Conference in 2014 and has served in a multitude of roles within finance, accounting, human resources, and community engagement. Through his diverse experiences at the Big Ten, Patel has developed a full-scale understanding of the organization to effectively balance business strategy with people-friendly initiatives.   

Patel received a bachelor’s degree in music technology from New York University and a master’s degree in management from Harvard University. While at Harvard, Patel served as a graduate assistant for the men’s basketball program, which captured three Ivy League championships and multiple NCAA Tournament victories during his tenure.
