Big Ten Collects 10 IWLCA All-America Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Ten Big Ten women’s lacrosse student-athletes were recognized by the nation’s lacrosse coaches on Thursday, as the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2025 Division I All-America Teams.

Four Big Ten schools were represented among the team’s 48 honorees, with Northwestern earning four nods, one more than Michigan. Two Johns Hopkins student-athletes joined one from Maryland.

Three honorees were named to the IWLCA All-America First Team, including Johns Hopkins’ Reagan O’Brien and Northwestern’s Madison Taylor and Sammy White.  Michigan’s Erin O’Grady and Jill Smith joined Ashley Mackin from Johns Hopkins and Jane Hansen from Northwestern on the Second Team, while Maryland’s Kori Edmondson, Michigan’s Grace Callahan, and Northwestern’s Sam Smith collected Third Team accolades.

This marks the third IWLCA All-America nod for Jill Smith, while O’Grady, Taylor, and White earn their second honor from the coaches.

All 10 of these student-athletes also earned All-America accolades from both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine, with O’Brien, Taylor, and White earning First Team honors on all three teams.
