Big Ten Recognizes Winter Academic All-Big Ten Honorees

Students across eight winter sports earn recognition

Full Winter 2025 Academic All-Big Ten List

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference recognized a total of 1,154 students on winter sports rosters who have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team Wednesday. 

The list of honorees includes 81 men’s and 102 women’s basketball students, 107 men’s ice hockey students, 65 men’s and 158 women’s gymnastics students, 163 men’s and 282 women’s swim and dive students, and 196 wrestling students. 

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of March 1 for fall sports), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. 

Among the winter Academic All-Big Ten honorees, 34 had unblemished GPAs:
