Iowa, Nebraska and Purdue Capture Weekly Women’s Indoor Track and Field Awards

Boilermakers’ Sullivan, Cornhuskers’ Rogers and Hawkeyes’ Bikembo and Wamokpego earn weekly accolades

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of December 11-18, 2024.  

Track Athlete of the Week  
Zoe Sullivan, Purdue 
Senior – Sprints – Indianapolis, Ind. – Major: Law and Society 

  • Currently holds the NCAA's fastest time in the 60m hurdles this season with her 8.12 that set a meet record at the Blue Demon Holiday Invitational 

  • Also won the 200m with a 24.13 which is currently eighth in the NCAA 
  • Both of her times were personal bests 

  • Last Indoor Purdue Track Athlete of the Week:  K'Ja Talley (Dec. 14, 2022) 

Co-Field Athletes of the Week 
Jenna Rogers, Nebraska 
Senior – Jumps – Rutherford, N.J. – Major: Speech-Language Path and Audio 

  • Broke the indoor high jump school record at the Husker Holiday Classic, clearing 1.19m (6-3.25) 

  • Her mark of 1.19m is currently the best in the NCAA for the current Indoor season 

  • It also matched her career best as she cleared this same mark in the outdoor season at the Olympic Team Trials 

  • Last Nebraska Indoor Field Athlete of the Week: Axelina Johansson (Feb. 8, 2023) 

Daniela Wamokpego, IOWA 
Sophomore – Jumps – Meaux, France – Major: Spanish 

  • Won the triple jump at the Jimmy Grant Invite with a mark of 13.32m 

  • Her mark of 13.32m ranks first at Iowa and is tied for first nationally 

  • Secures her second Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. Last: (Feb. 14, 2024) 

Freshman of the Week 
Pauline Bikembo, IOWA 
Freshman – Multi-events – Saint Lue La Foret, France – Major: Undecided 

  • Won the pentathlon at Iowa’s season-opening Jimmy Grant Invite with a mark of 4,229 points Her mark ranks second at Iowa overall and second in the NCAA this season. 

  • Marks Bikembo’s and Iowa’s first Women’s Indoor Track & Field Freshman of the Week.
