Michigan State, Minnesota and Wisconsin Claim Three Stars Honors
Gophers’ Snuggerud, Spartans’ Stramel, Badgers’ Mosley recognized
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Three Stars of the Week for hockey games played Jan. 17-18.
First Star
Jimmy Snuggerud, Minnesota
Jr. – F – Chaska, Minn. — U.S. National Team Development Program
- Scored in back-to-back games, recording three goals and 10 shots on goal as No. 3/3 Minnesota took four of six points from Notre Dame in Minneapolis, Minn.
- Netted two goals during the first period of Minnesota’s 5-2 win over Notre Dame on Friday
- Followed with a first-period goal on Saturday, finishing his season series against the Irish with eight points (five goals, three assists) in four games
- The St. Louis Blue first round draft pick collects his sixth career Big Ten weekly award (5-Firsts, 1-Second) and his second of the season

Second Star
Charlie Stramel, Michigan State
Jr. – F – Rosemount, Minn. – Wisconsin (NCAA)
- Compiled two goals and an assist for No. 1/1 Michigan State in a 4-1 win over No. 10/10 Michigan Saturday at Munn Ice Arena.
- Assisted on the game’s opening goal before notching a goal later in the first period that became the game-winner; added a short-handed marker in the second period
- Has compiled 21 points for the top-ranked Spartans, accumulating more points than his two previous seasons combined
- The Minnesota Wild first round draft pick earns his first weekly award of the season and the second of his career

Third Star
Ryland Mosley, Wisconsin
Gr. – F – Arnprior, Ontario — Michigan Tech (NCAA)
- Factored in five of eight goals to help Wisconsin to a win and overtime tie against Long Island in nonconference action
- Started the weekend with a four-assist game Friday in Wisconsin’s 6-3 win at the Kohl Center
- Added another assist on Saturday to remain tied for second in team scoring with 27 points
- The Michigan Tech transfer earns his second Star honor of the season after being named Second Star on Dec. 3, 2024
- Last Wisconsin Star honorees: Quinn Finley (Second Star) and Cody Laskosky (Third Star) on Dec. 31, 2024
