Baseball Tournament: Day 3 Update

OMAHA, Neb. – Quarterfinal pairing are set for the 2026 Big Ten Baseball Tournament presented by IFS.ai following day three action at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.

Game 9: Purdue 8, Iowa 1
In an elimination game, Purdue (37-19) prevailed behind solid pitching from starter Austin Klug and reliever Jarvis Evans, who allowed a combined six hits. The Boilermakers earned the right to face top seed UCLA. Iowa, which received three hits from Kellen Strohmeyer, finished its season with a 33-23 record.

Game 10: Michigan 3, Ohio State 0
A pitchers duel went Michigan's way, paving a trip to the quarterfinals and a matchup with Nebraska. Shane Brinham struckout 11 batters over nine innings while counterpart Gavin Kuzniewski allowed just one hit over 7.2 innings. The Wolverines managed two hits on the night, both coming off the bat of Noah Miller, who drove home all three runs. Ohio State concluded its year at 30-25.

Friday's quarterfinals will pair No. 4 seed USC versus No. 12 Michigan State (9 a.m. CT), No. 1 UCLA versus No. 5 Purdue (1 p.m. CT), No. 2 Nebraska versus No. 7 Michigan (5 p.m. CT) and No. 3 Oregon versus No. 11 Washington (9 p.m. CT).
