ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Big Ten Conference has announced its baseball weekly awards for games played March 25-30.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hollis Porter, Maryland
So. — DH/1B — Hurley, Miss. — Pear River CC

• Compiled a slash of .632/.650/1.474 and a 2.124 OPS over four games
• Led Big Ten players with 15 RBI in 19 at-bats, compiling 28 total bases
• Went 5-for-6 against Northwestern on Sunday, recording two home runs and a career-high six RBI
• Receives his first Big Ten weekly award
• Last Terrapin named Big Ten Player of the Week: Matt Shaw (May 1, 2023)

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Blaine Wynk, Ohio State
Jr. — R-RHP — Miamisburg, Ohio — Findlay (NCAA)

• Earned the win in Ohio State’s 8-6 triumph of 10th-ranked Oregon, completing a doubleheader sweep on March 29
• Entered in the sixth inning with OSU trailing 5-4 and stranded two runners with a strikeout which was followed by a 1-2-3 inning in the seventh
• Struck out seven while holding the Ducks to a one run and two hits over 3.1 innings.
• The All-Big Ten Third Team selection secures his first Big Ten Pitcher Award
• Last Buckeye chosen Big Ten Pitcher of the Week: Seth Lonsway (April 7, 2021)

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

• Batted .471, going 8-for-17 and hitting safely in all four games during the week
• Connected on three home runs, totaling eight RBI and slugging 1.118
• Leads the Hoosiers and Big Ten freshmen with 45 hits on the season
• Becomes third different Indiana player to earn Big Ten Freshman accolades this season
