Baseball Tournament: Day 5 Recap

OMAHA, Neb. -- Iowa and Maryland remained unbeaten in the Big Ten Baseball Tournament on day five, setting up a showdown in Sunday's Championship Game.

Game 11: Iowa 5, Michigan 0
Iowa pitchers combined for a three-hitter as Iowa rolled to a 5-0 win over Michigan at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.

Iowa's Ty Langenberg tossed two-hit ball over seven innings, striking out nine to lead Iowa to its second win against Michigan in the tournament. Raider Tello drove in two runs for the Hawkeyes, who improved to 42-13 on the season.

Game 12: Maryland 4, Nebraska 2
Maryland fought off a late rally by Nebraska to secure a 4-2 win in a thrilling finish before 9,105 fans.

Trailing by four runs entering the ninth, Nebraska pushed across two runs and had two runners on base before Max Anderson's deep fly ball to right field was hauled in by Matt Woods.

Pitcher Jason Savacool threw six innings of shutout ball and Jacob Orr went 3-for-4 at the plate as Maryland recorded its 40th win of the season.

The Big Ten Championship game between the No. 1 seed Terrapins and No. 3 Hawkeyes will begin at 2 p.m. CT and air live on Big Ten Network.
