Indiana, Purdue and Rutgers Collect Baseball Weekly Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its baseball weekly awards for games played Feb. 19-25.

Player of the Week

Devin Taylor, Indiana

So. – OF — Cincinnati, Ohio — LaSalle

Batted .667 (10-for-15) with three home runs and six RBI to fuel Indiana to a 4-0 week, including a sweep at Baylor
Compiled a 1.333 slugging percentage, .750 on-base percentage and a 2.083 OPS
Scored 10 runs and compiled 17 total bases while making 12 putouts in left field
The 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year earns his first weekly Player award

Pitcher of the Week

Christian Coppola, Rutgers

Hurled six innings of one-hit ball in a 10-3 win over Old Dominion on Feb. 23
Retired the final 11 batters he faced, fanning the side in the sixth to finish with nine strikeouts
Held the Monarchs to a .053 batting average and two earned runs in his second start of the season
The 2023 All-Big Ten First Team selection garners his second career Pitcher award
