Indiana, Iowa and Penn State Receive Weekly Baseball Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its baseball weekly awards for games played May 13-19.

Player of the Week
Devin Taylor, Indiana

Compiled a slash of .636/.714/1.545 and a 2.260 OPS over three games last week
Went 7-for-11 with three home runs and seven RBI on the weekend in helping Indiana take two of three games against Michigan
Enters the Big Ten Tournament having homered in five of his last six games
The 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year earns his second weekly Player award of the season and his career

Tossed five innings of shutout ball to earn the win in Iowa’s 15-2 run-rule decision over Florida International May 17 in Iowa City
Struckout seven batters and allowed just one hit while recording a WHIP of 0.40
Threw 68 pitches in his 12th start of the year, lowering his opponent batting average to .189 on the season
The second-year Hawkeye earns his second Big Ten weekly honor of the season and of his career

Worked seven shutout innings, allowing three hits, to improve to 4-1 on the year
Pitched four shutout frames in the series opener, retiring the side in the eighth and ninth; came back the next day to pitch three scoreless innings to close out a 6-5 victory in 10 innings.
