Nebraska, Oregon, USC Take Home Weekly Baseball Honors
First-time winners receive player, pitcher and freshman awards

ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Big Ten Conference has announced its baseball weekly awards for games played Feb. 24-March 2.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dominic Hellman, Oregon
Jr. — DH — Mill Creek, Wash. — Henry M. Jackson HS
- Amassed a 1.639 OPS and 1.056 slugging percentage over four games
- Serving as a designated hitter, batted .500 (9-for-18) with three home runs and 13 RBI
- Hit two grand slams on Friday and helped Oregon push across a school-record 35 runs in a win on Saturday
- Helped No. 11 Oregon to a 4-0 week with a home sweep of Columbia
- Makes history as the first Duck chosen Big Ten Player of the Week
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Caden Aoki, USC
Sr. — S-RHP — Huntington Beach, Calif. — Notre Dame (NCAA)
- Earned the win on the mound in USC’s 3-1 victory over No. 12 Vanderbilt March 1 in Irvine, Calif.
- Struck out a career-high 10 batters against one walk allowed over seven innings
- Held the Commodores to four hits and a .167 batting average during a 101-pitch performance
- Lowered his season ERA to 2.70
- Becomes first Trojan selected as Big Ten Pitcher of the Week
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Devin Nunez, Nebraska

- In three starts at DH, compiled a slash line of .500/.533/.714 at the Frisco College Baseball Classic
- Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored against No. 2 LSU
- Homered against Kansas State and finished the week with a 1.248 OPS
- Recorded three multiple-hit games, going 7-for-14 at the plate and scoring four runs
- Last Cornhusker named freshman of the week: Garrett Anglim on March 29, 2022
