Unbeaten Indiana earned a spot into the Lexington Regional Final while Iowa and Indiana suffered their first losses in the double-elimination NCAA Tournament.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Indiana improved to 2-0 in regional action with a 5-3 win over 12th-ranked Kentucky Saturday. It marks the first time since 2014 Indiana has won its first two games of an NCAA regional.

Phillip Glasser and Peter Serruto homered for the Hoosiers (42-18), who avenged an early-season loss to Kentucky on the same field. Kentucky placed the winning runs on base in the ninth but were thwarted by a great catch from right fielder Morgan Colopy.

Coach Jeff Mercer's squad will meet the winner of tomorrow's Kentucky-West Virginia elimination game at 6 p.m. ET Sunday.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Iowa suffered its first loss of the NCAA Tournament in a 7-4 setback to 14th-ranked Indiana State at Bob Warn Field.

Iowa held a 4-2 lead before a 5-run eighth inning by Kentucky turned the tables. Iowa starter Brody Brecht struckout eight batters over seven innings in a pitcher's duel with ISU's Connor Fenlong, who fanned eight in eight innings.

The Hawkeyes (43-15) encounter North Carolina in an elimination game Sunday at 12 p.m. ET.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- In a game delayed 4 hours and 45 minutes due to weather, Maryland fell to No. 1-ranked Wake Forest, 21-6 in a contest that ended at 2:06 a.m. ET.

Maryland (41-19) used 21 players in the game, including seven pitchers. Nick Lorusso hit his 25th and 26th home runs, setting a program record for homers in a season.

The Terrapins will have 12 hours to get ready for a 2 p.m. ET first pitch Sunday against George Mason in an elimination game.
