The city of Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium will play host to the 16th annual Big Ten Football Championship Game on December 5, 2026. Kickoff for the game is set at 8 p.m. ET. The winner will earn the Amos Alonzo Stagg Championship Trophy and a chance to play in the College Football Playoff.
FOX will serve as the official broadcast partner of the Big Ten Football Championship Game.
Indiana was crowned the 2025 Big Ten Football Champion following a 13-10 victory over Ohio State. It was Indiana's first appearance and win in the Big Ten Championship Game. Ohio State (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) has claimed five titles, while Michigan has won three Big Ten Championship Games (2021, 2022, 2023). Wisconsin (2011 and 2012) and Michigan State (2013 and 2015) have each won two Big Ten Championship Games, while Oregon earned its first title in 2024 and Penn State was victorious in 2016. Ohio State leads all schools with seven Big Ten Championship Game appearances, followed by Wisconsin with six, Michigan State with three, Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern and Penn State with two each, and one title game berth each for Nebraska, Oregon and Purdue.
