Ancillary Events and Community Initiatives

BIG TEN FAN FEST PRESENTED BY DR PEPPER
Every 2024 Discover® Big Ten Football Championship Game ticket will allow complimentary admission into Big Ten Fan Fest presented by Dr Pepper at the Indiana Convention Center Friday, Dec. 6, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. ET and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. ET. More than 200,00 square feet in the Indiana Convention Center will be dedicated to interactive games, entertainment - including special guest appearances and mascots - performances by participating team bands, giveaways, food and beverages, and much more.

Band performances will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, with the Away Team (#2) band and cheerleaders performing at 5:15 p.m. ET, followed by the Home Team (#1) band and cheerleaders at 6 p.m. ET.

For individuals without game tickets, Big Ten Fan Fest tickets may be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com. Prices for adults are $12 and youth (ages 3-12) are $6. Children ages 2 and under are free. Individuals with a Military ID will gain complimentary access.

TAILGATE TOWN ON SOUTH STREET
Free admission to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 7, Tailgate Town on South Street is the perfect “Gateway to Fan Fest.” Tailgate Town will feature a Major League Eating Contest where the top ranked eaters see who can eat the most World-Famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail. Enjoy food and beverage sales, college football on the video screens, a live band and DJ, merchandise sales, sponsor giveaways, a 3-D B1G letters photo opportunity, a beer hall for relaxing, and more creating the ultimate tailgating experience. Entertainment will be provided by the St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail Eating Contest, Timberworks Lumberjack Show, Alaina Renae Music, Karma Band, and DJ Lockstar.

BIG TEN TAKEDOWN
The Big Ten Conference, home to the last 17 straight NCAA Wrestling Champions, will continue to raise the bar as the premier wrestling conference in the country when it hosts the inaugural Big Ten Takedown: Illinois vs. Indiana Wrestling Dual on Friday, Dec. 6, in Indianapolis.

The Fighting Illini will take on the Hoosiers at 5 p.m. ET in the center of Big Ten Fan Fest presented by Dr Pepper at the Indiana Convention Center in conjunction with the 2024 Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game. The contest will be broadcast by Big Ten Network with doors set to open to fans at 4 p.m. ET.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com for $25 each. Every Big Ten Takedown ticket will allow complimentary admission into the Fan Fest presented by Dr Pepper at the Indiana Convention Center Friday, Dec. 6, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. ET and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. ET. 

More than 200,000 square feet in the Indiana Convention Center will be dedicated to interactive games, entertainment – including special guest appearances and mascots – performances by participating team bands, Big Ten merchandise sales, giveaways, food and beverages, and much more. Fans are encouraged to complete the Fan Fest waiver in advance to expedite entry into Fan Fest.

Pending availability, Big Ten Takedown tickets may be purchased on-site at the Georgia Street Ticket Office located outside of Hall J in the Indiana Convention Center starting at 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Tickets are $25, while individuals with a valid Military ID will be eligible to purchase a ticket for $13.

FLAG FOOTBALL CLINICS

In partnership with USA Football, the Big Ten Conference and Indiana Sports Corp will host various youth-serving organizations inside Big Ten Fan Fest presented by Dr Pepper on Saturday, December 7 for flag football clinics. The organizations joining for the day will be Special Olympics, Boys & Girls Club, Girls Inc., the MLK Center, and Robert Lee Frost Elementary students. The clinic scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 7 will be open to the public.

THE MAKEOVER PROJECT

In collaboration with the College Football Playoff Foundation, the Big Ten Conference, the Indianapolis Public School (IPS) Foundation and Indiana Sports Corp, will renovate the media center of an IPS Elementary School. The renovation will be revealed in early December.

CLASSROOM RESOURCE GRANT PROGRAM

In collaboration with the College Football Playoff Foundation, the Big Ten Conference and Indiana Sports Corp will provide a grant opportunity for classroom projects and resources. A total of $40,000 will be granted across the entire program to support Indiana teachers and students.

CAREERS IN SPORTS CLASS WITH BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF CENTRAL INDIANA

In partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Indiana Sports Corp and the Big Ten Conference will host 20 Littles, grades 6 & 7, and their Bigs during the 2024 Discover® Big Ten Football Championship Game and 2025 TIAA Big Ten Basketball Tournaments to give them a unique behind-the-scenes experience and exposure to different careers in sports.
