BIG TEN FOOTBALL RELEASE - WEEK 11 STANDINGS | MEDIA GUIDE | SCHEDULE

  • Week 11 of the 2024 college football season features six contests between Big Ten Conference opponents, with action beginning on Friday when Iowa travels to UCLA for a 9 p.m. ET kick on FOX. Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, USC and Wisconsin will enjoy byes this week, with the complete schedule appearing to the right.
  • Four Big Ten teams appear in the AP Poll this week, with all four teams appearing in the top eight. Oregon leads the conference at No. 1, followed by No. 3 Ohio State, No. 6 Penn State and No. 8 Indiana. Iowa and Washington are both receiving votes. 
  • A pair Big Ten teams remain undefeated through 10 weeks of the 2024 season. Indiana and Oregon rank among the five NCAA FBS teams sporting perfect records entering Week 11.
  • On Monday, the Big Ten announced its Football Players of the Week, presented by IFS.ai. Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after recording his seventh 100-yard game, rushing for 135 yards on 24 attempts and three touchdowns in Iowa’s 42-10 victory against Wisconsin. 
  • Washington’s Carson Bruener took home Defensive Player of the Week accolades, leading the Huskies to a vital, 26-21, win over longtime rival USC, with two pass breakups and a game-best12 total tackles (five more than any other UW or USC player). Bruener also notched two interceptions in the game with the first coming early in the opening quarter and led to a UW field goal to give the Huskies a 3-0 lead. 
  • Special Teams Player of the Week honors went to Minnesota’s Dragan Kesich. Kesich went 4-of-4 on field goals, converting from 20, 45, 38, and 46 yards in Minnesota’s 25-17 win against Illinois. His 13 points (4 field goals, 1 extra point) at Illinois were a career high, bringing his career total to 36 made field goals, passing Brent Berglund (35) for eighth in program history. 
  • UCLA’s Kwazi Gilmer was named Freshmen of the Week after posting a career-high 88 receiving yards on three catches as UCLA defeated Nebraska on the road, 27-20. The newcomer reeled in his first career touchdown in the second half on a 48-yard touchdown pass from Ethan Garbers. 
  • Indiana and Ohio State currently rank among the top 15 nationally in both scoring offense and scoring defense. The Buckeyes rank third in scoring defense (12.0 points per game), while ranking 15th in scoring offense (37.8 points per game). The Hoosiers rank second nationally in scoring offense (46.6 points per game), while ranking seventh in scoring defense (13.7 points per game).
  • Six additional Big Ten teams rank in the top 25 in terms of scoring defense: Penn State (8th, 15.0 points per game), Oregon (10th, 15.8 points per game), Minnesota (12th, 16.8 points per game), Iowa (17th, 18.0 points per game), Washington (21st, 19.0 points per game) and Nebraska (22nd, 19.1 points per game). 
  • The top two teams in the regular season standings will meet in the 2024 Discover Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, Ind. The game, which will be broadcast on CBS for the first time ever, will be the first in conference history to match the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the overall conference standings.  Media can apply for credentials by visiting bigten.org/media
