Minnesota, Rutgers Selected to Compete in College Basketball Crown

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Two Big Ten teams have been selected to play in the 2026 College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas. Minnesota and Rutgers will compete in the single-elimination eight team contest, which takes place Wednesday, April 1 to Sunday, April 5.

The Golden Gophers will face Baylor on Wednesday, April 1 at 10:30 p.m. ET, while the Scarlett Knights will meet Creighton at 10:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 2. Both games will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Tickets for the Crown are available now at VividSeats.com.

Winners of Wednesday and Thursday’s quarterfinals will advance to the Crown semifinals on Saturday, April 4, with the champion decided one day later. Both the semifinal and championship games will be played at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Nebraska won the inaugural College Basketball Crown last season, topping Central Florida 77-66.

The event’s first and second round contests will be broadcast on FS1, with the semifinals and championship slated for FOX. All of the games will also be available on the Fox Sports app.
