Purdue, Rutgers Score Men’s Basketball Weekly Accolades
Boilermakers’ Kaufman-Renn, Scarlet Knights’ Harper net Big Ten weekly honors
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Players of the Week for the week of November 25-December 1, 2024.
Player of the Week
Trey Kaufman-Renn, Purdue
F – Jr. – 6-9 – Sellersburg, Ind. – Silver Creek
- Named MVP of the Rady Children’s Invitational after leading No. 8 Purdue to a pair of wins, scoring 23.5 points on 61.5 percent shooting and 10.5 rebounds
- Recorded his first career double-double with 25 points and a career best 13 rebounds in a win over then-No. 23 Ole Miss
- Garners his first Player of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Dylan Harper, Rutgers
G – 6-6 – Franklin Lakes, N.J. – Don Bosco Prep
- Averaged 30.3 points last week, including 29-of-34 form the free throw line
- Tallied 36 points in a win over Notre Dame and 37 points in a loss to then-No. 9 Alabama
- First freshman in 20 years to score 35-plus points in back-to-back games and first Rutgers player to score 30-plus points in back-to-back games since Quincy Douby on March 9, 2006
- Earns his second Freshman of the Week award
