Iowa Sweeps Men’s Basketball Weekly Accolades

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Players of the Week, presented by Air National Guard, for the week of Nov. 13-19.

Player of the Week

Ben Krikke, IOWA

F – Gr. – 6-9 – Edmonton, Alberta, Canada – Jasper Place – Major: Master’s Degree in Finance

• Averaged 24.5 points and seven rebounds, while shooting .667 from the field in Iowa’s two contests

• Scored a game-high 24 points in a loss at No. 8 Creighton

• Paired 25 points on 10-14 shooting, nine rebounds, four steals and three blocks in a victory over Arkansas State

• Garners his first career Player of the Week award

• Last Indiana Player of the Week: Filip Rebraca (Dec. 19, 2022)

Freshman of the Week

Owen Freeman, Iowa

F – 6-10 – Moline, Ill. – Moline – Major: Sport and Recreation Management

• Averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 blocked shots, as the Hawkeyes split two games last week

• Tallied eight points and three blocked shots in 14 minutes against No. 8 Creighton

• Added seven points, three boards and two blocked shots in 10 minutes against Arkansas State

• Garners his second Freshman of the Week award
