ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Players of the Week presented by Air National Guard for the week of Dec. 11-17.

Player of the Week

Fletcher Loyer, Purdue

G – So. – 6-4 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – Homestead – Major: Organizational Leadership

•    Tallied 27 points, fourmbb steals, and three assists to lead Purdue to a 92-84 win over then-No. 1 Arizona

•    Shot 11-18 from the field, including 5-9 from three-point range

•    27 points and four steals marked career highs

•    Garners his second career Player of the Week award 

•    Last Purdue Player of the Week: Zach Edey (Dec. 11, 2023)

Freshman of the Week

Owen Freeman, Iowa

F – 6-10 – Moline, Ill. – Moline – Major: Sport and Recreation Management

•    Paired 14 points and 11 rebounds in just 19 minutes in Iowa’s 88-54 win over Florida A&M

•    Freeman is the first Iowa freshman to record a double-double since Joe Wieskamp in 2018

•    Earns his fourth Freshman of the Week award
