NIT SCHEDULE
Ten Big Ten teams will continue their seasons this week, as the NCAA Tournament and NIT kickoff. The Big Ten will send six teams to the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, and Wisconsin will all be taking part in this year’s tournament. Iowa, Minnesota, and Ohio State will compete in the National Invitational Tournament, the second consecutive season that three conference teams have appeared in the NIT.

No. 3 seed Illinois raised its fourth Big Ten Tournament championship with a thrilling 93-87 win over No. 5 sed Wisconsin to win the 2024 TIAA Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament and the league’s automatic bid.
Five teams are included in both major polls entering the tournaments. Both the AP and USA Today polls list Purdue at No. 3, while Illinois stands at No. 10. Wisconsin returns to the top 25, sitting at No. 23 in the AP and No. 24 in the coaches poll. Nebraska also received votes in both listings, while the coaches recognized Michigan State.
