Illinois Claims Men’s Golfer of the Week Honor
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Illinois’ Max Herendeen has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week for tournaments from October 16-23.

· Led the Illini men's golf team to a season-best final-round score of 272 (-16), tied for the lowest team round of the tournament, to move up the leaderboard into a third-place finish at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational at Fallen Oak at Beau Rivage Resort
· Posted a runner-up finish with a season-best score of 204 (-12) with rounds of 69, 69, and a season best 66
· Played 46-of-54 holes at or below par, including 18 birdies and one eagle, for his 11th top-five finish of his collegiate career
· Closed the fall season with a stroke average of 68.92, on pace to break the Illinois single-season record of 69.56 set by Adrien Dumont de Chassart in 2022-23
