Illinois and Nebraska Share Men’s Golfer of the Week Honor

ROSEMONT, Ill. –Illinois’ Ryan Voois and Nebraska’s Rudy Sautron have been named the Big Ten Co-Golfers of the Week for tournaments from February 12-19.

 

Co-Golfers of the Week

Ryan Voois, Illinois

Sr. – Ladera Ranch, Calif.  – Tesoro High School

 

·       Led the No. 13 Fighting Illini to the team title at the Hal Williams Collegiate, the team's second victory of the season, and their fourth win at the event since 2021

·       Carded a career-low round of 63 (-7) in round two, tied for the second-lowest round in program history, en route to his second career individual victory

·       His three-round total of 195 (-15) also marked a career-best, and the second-lowest 54-hole tournament score in program history

·       Tied for the tournament lead with 18 birdies and posted par or better on 51 of 54 holes

·       Last Illinois Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week honoree: Max Herendeen (Oct. 23, 2025)

 

Rudy Sautron, Nebraska

Jr. – Reunion Island, France – Cameron University  

 

·       Shattered multiple school records on his way to sharing individual medalist honors at the Hal Williams Collegiate in Semmes, Ala.

·       Fired an opening-round 62 (-8) on the par-70, 7,129-yard Crossings Course at the Magnolia Grove Golf Club outside of Mobile to eclipse his own school record of 63 (-9) at the Steelwood Collegiate (Oct. 27, 2024)

·       Followed with a second-round 65 to register another school record with a 127 (-13) through 36 holes

·       Finished off his tournament victory with a final-round 68 (-2) to close with a school 54-hole record 195 (-15), Sautron's second tournament title of the season
