Individual Results: 2026 Big Ten Men’s Golf Championships
Unlike 2025 when the Bruins roared back from eight shots down in Round 3 to win their first Big Ten crown at Baltimore Country Club, this year they seized control early in Round 2 and never relinquished it.
UCLA sat two strokes behind Illinois following Friday’s opening round, but the Bruins surged on Saturday with an 11-under 269, six shots better than anyone else in the field and the best team round of the championships, to put themselves 11 shots atop the leaderboard after 36 holes.
Illinois punched back in Sunday’s final round with a 9-under 271 to briefly claim a share of the team lead down the stretch, but Kim birdied his final three holes of the tournament to secure the victory for UCLA (-8, 832) and his first collegiate win. The Danville, California, native was the only player in the field to card three rounds under the par during the weekend, and ranked Top-3 in scoring on Par-3, Par-4 and Par-5 holes at Witch Hollow.=
The Bruins freshman was joined on the All-Championships Team by Washington’s Finn Koelle (-5, 205), as well as USC’s Jack Buchanan and Jaden Dumdumaya, and Illinois’ Max Herendeen and Ryan Voois, who all signed 3-under 207 scorecards to tie for third.
Illinois’ runner-up finish (-4, 836) continued a remarkable streak where they have finished Top-2 at the Big Ten Championships every season since 2009. Washington (+2, 842) finished third, with Rutgers (+10, 850) and USC (+14, 854) rounding out the Top-5.
Dumdumaya was presented with the 2026 Les Bolstad Award, given annually to the Big Ten golfer with the lowest season stroke average (69.5). He is the first Trojan to win the award.
Big Ten All-Conference and All-Freshman Teams, along with the Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year Awards will be announced later this week.
