Michigan’s Hunter Thomson Named Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week
Wolverines’ senior won inaugural Canadian Collegiate Invitational
ROSEMONT, Ill. – University of Michigan senior Hunter Thomson has been named the Big Ten Golfers of the Week for tournaments from September 12-18.

- Led wire-to-wire to earn his second career medalist honor with a 14-under 202 at the inaugural Canadian Collegiate Invitational hosted at Oviinbryd Golf Club in MacTier, Ontario.
- The Calgary native’s victory earned him an exemption from Golf Canada to play in the 2025 RBC Canadian Open (June 3-5).
- Won the event by two strokes and led Michigan to an 852 (-12) team total and a season-best runner-up result.
- Was a single shot away from tying his career-low of 201 (-15) carded at the 2024 Palmas del Mar Collegiate (Feb. 11-13), where he recorded his first career win.
