USC Claims Men’s Golfer of the Week Honor
ROSEMONT, Ill. – University of Southern California freshman Jack Buchanan has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week for tournaments from October 4-10.

- Finished tied for runner-up with scores of 64, 69 and 71 (-12; 204) at the Trinity Forest Invitational
- Recorded 49 of 54 holes at or below par, including 17 birdies and his first 23 holes of the tournament played bogey free
- His first-round score of 64 (-8) marked the best single-round score by a freshman since now junior Jackson Rivera carded a 63 during the 2021-22 season
- His three-round total of 204 (-12) also marked the lowest score by a USC freshman since Jamie Lovemark posted a 201 (-15) at the NCAA Championship West Regional in 2007
- Becomes the first USC golfer to earn Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week honors
