Six Big Ten Programs Selected for NCAA Men’s Golf Regional Field

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Six Big Ten teams and a trio of individuals were selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals, as announced on the NCAA Selection Show Wednesday. The regional field is divided among six sites and will be held May 13-15.
Big Ten Champion Northwestern earned the No. 5 seed in the Chapel Hill Regional and will compete at the Finley Golf Club, along with No. 11 Michigan State.
No. 5 Purdue will play host to 12 programs, including No. 8 Indiana, in the West Lafayette Regional at the Kampen-Cosler Course. Big Ten student-athletes Hunter Thomson (Michigan) and Cameron Huss (Wisconsin) will each compete as individuals in West Lafayette.
No. 3 Illinois is headed to the West Coast for the Stanford Regional at Stanford Golf Course, where Minnesota’s Ben Warian will also compete as an individual. No. 6 Ohio State rounds out the conference’s selections and will take part in the Baton Rouge Regional at the University Club.
Regionals will consist of 81 teams and 45 individuals competing at one of the six 54-hole sites. The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 24-29 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.
