Michigan State and Purdue Share Men’s Golfer of the Week Honor

ROSEMONT, Ill. –Michigan State’s McCoy Biagioli and Purdue’s Andre Zhu have been named the Big Ten Co-Golfers of the Week for tournaments from August 28- September 3.

McCoy Biagioli, Michigan State
Jr. – White Lake, Mich. – Lakeland
- Tied for third place at 15-under par 201 (67-69-65), leading the Spartans at the season-opening Island Resort Intercollegiate
- Biagioli's score of 201 is tied for the second-lowest 54-hole tournament score in program history and one shot short of tying the school record, set by Drew Hackett in 2022
- Recorded 52 of 54 holes at or below par on the weekend, highlighted by 17 birdies and his first and last rounds played bogey free
- Last Michigan State Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week honoree: Lorenzo Pinili (March 6, 2025)
Andre Zhu, Purdue
Fr. – Richmond Hill, Ontario – Richmond Green
- Tied for third place in his first career event, shooting 15-under par 201 (68-65-68) at the Island Resort Intercollegiate
- His 201 ranks as the third-lowest, 54-hole score in school history and he becomes the fourth player in school history with three rounds of 68 or better in the same tournament
- Recorded 17 birdies, 35 pars and just two bogeys during the tournament
