Michigan 2nd at NCAA Championships; Big Ten Claims a Pair of Individual Titles

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Four Big Ten schools finished in the top six at the 2024 NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championships, held at Ohio State’s Covelli Center.

Michigan finished second for the second consecutive year, posting a score of 419.689, while Nebraska (412.427), Illinois (411.659), and Ohio State (399.122) finished four, fifth, and sixth respectively. Stanford (425.325) scored its fifth consecutive team title.

Michigan graduate student Paul Juda and Illinois sophomore Tate Costa claimed individual titles.

Juda won the floor exercise with a score of 14.800. This marks Judas third NCAA individual championship, joining his 2022 all-around and vault crowns.

Costa claimed his first NCAA individual championship in the high bar with a score of 13.900. Costa becomes the first Illini to win the high bar since C.J. Maestas won gold in 2015.
