Illinois Claims a Share of 2024 Men's Gymnastics Title
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The No. 4 ranked Illinois men’s gymnastics team clinched at least a share of the 2024 Big Ten Conference championship with Saturday’s 406.500-405.950 victory at No. 6 Penn State.
With the win, the Illini improved to 3-1 in conference dual meets to earn their first regular season crown since the conference began awarding a regular season trophy in 2019.
Nebraska can also secure a share of the 2024 championship with a victory at Ohio State on Tuesday.
Illinois will play host for the 2024 Big Ten Championships, scheduled to take place April 5-6 at the State Farm Center in Champaign. The meet will be televised live on Big Ten Network and may also be streamed via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices through the FOX Sports app.
The 2024 NCAA Championships will also be held on a Big Ten campus, as Ohio State’s Covelli Center will host the national meet on April 19-20 in Columbus. This will be the fifth time the Buckeyes have hosted the NCAA Championship and the first time since 2016.
