Michigan Captures 2023 Big Ten Men’s Gymnastics Regular Season Title

ROSEMONT, Ill. (March 18, 2023) – The third-ranked University of Michigan men’s gymnastics team secured the 2023 Big Ten Conference regular season title Saturday after completing its conference schedule with a 411.250-405.550 win over No. 5 Illinois at Cliff Keen Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich. It’s the Wolverines’ third consecutive Big Ten regular season crown, and fourth overall (as well as their second outright title), since the conference began awarding a regular season trophy in 2019.

Michigan went 3-1 in conference play and is 11-6 overall this season, with all five Big Ten programs among the top seven in the country in the Road To Nationals rankings.

Ohio State will serve as the host institution for the 2023 Big Ten Championships that will take place March 31-April 1 at the Covelli Center in Columbus. The meet will be televised live on Big Ten Network and may also be streamed via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices through the FOX Sports app.

The 2023 NCAA Championships will also be held on a Big Ten campus, with Penn State’s Rec Hall the site of this year’s national meet on April 14-15. It will be the ninth time PSU plays host to the NCAA Championships and the first since 2013.
