Ohio State, Nebraska Earn Men’s Gymnastics Weekly Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Gymnasts of the Week for the week ending March 10, 2024.

Gymnast of the Week

Kameron Nelson, Ohio State

Sr. – Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – Homeschool – Major: Communications

• Scored a pair of event wins and career-high scores, as No. 7 Ohio State beat then-No. 4 Michigan

• Won the floor exercise with a career-best score of 14.8000

• Captured the vault title with a score of 15.050, becoming the fifth gymnast in the country this season to score 15.000 or above  

• Garners his first Gymnast of the Week award

• Last Ohio State Gymnast of the Week: Caden Spencer (Jan. 15, 2024)

Freshman of the Week

Max Odden, Nebraska

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Saguaro – Major: Business Administration

• Posted a season-best score of 13.85 to win the high bar in the No. 3 Huskers’ victory over then-No. 2 Illinois

• Earns his first Freshman of the Week award

• Last Nebraska Freshman of the Week: Chase Mondi (Feb. 19, 2024)

Event Specialist of the Week

Tyler Rockwood, Ohio State

Sr. – Lancaster, Ohio – Lancaster – Major: Finance

• Scored a career-high 14.400 on the parallel bars, helping the No. 7 Buckeyes top then-No. 4 Michigan

• Marked Rockwood's first event title of his career

• Earns his first Event Specialist of the Week honor
