Michigan State and Minnesota Presented Three Stars Awards

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Three Stars of the Week for ice hockey games played Nov. 7-8.
First Star
Trey Augustine, Michigan State
Jr. – G – South Lyon, Mich. — U.S. National Team Development Program
2023 NHL Draft: 2nd Rd, 41st overall, Detroit
- Held No. 3/3 Penn State to one goal in No. 1/1 Michigan State’s conference sweep
- Stopped 60-of-61 shots against the nation’s sixth-best scoring offense; helped the Spartans’ penalty-killing unit go 9-for-9
- His goals-against average (0.49) and save percentage (.984) over the weekend were NCAA-best marks
- Made 36 saves to register his ninth career shutout in the series finale
- Earns his sixth career Star Award (3-First Stars, 3-Second Stars)
Second Star
Luca Di Pasquo, Minnesota
Jr. – G – Livonia, Mich. – Michigan State
- Allowed one goal in Minnesota’s weekend sweep of Notre Dame in Minneapolis
- Compiled a 0.50 goals-against average and a .981 save percentage, turning away 52-of-53 shots
- Logged his third career shutout (first as a Gopher) and an assist in Friday’s 3-0 win
- Receives his second career Star honor, having been named First Star on Dec. 31, 2024
- Last Minnesota Star recipient: Oliver Moore (First Star, March 4, 2025)
Third Star
Charlie Stramel, Michigan State

2023 NHL Draft: 1st Rd, 21st overall, Minnesota
- Turned in a career-best four-point effort in Michigan State’s 5-0 win over Penn State on Saturday; scored the game-winner just 2:32 into the opening period
- Won 64.8 percent of his faceoffs and finished the series with nine shots and a plus-four rating
- Co-leader in MSU goals (5) and second in team scoring (10 points)
- Collects his fourth career Star accolade (1-Second Star, 3-Third Stars)
