Michigan State Wins Big Ten Hockey Championship Outright
Spartans Claim Third-Straight Big Ten Regular Season Title

ROSEMONT, lll. — No. 2/3-ranked Michigan State defeated Minnesota, 7-1, Thursday evening to clinch the Big Ten Hockey Championship outright. The Spartans have won three-straight Big Ten regular season hockey titles for the first time in school history.
Michigan State (25-7-1, 16-6-1 Big Ten), which concludes its regular season tomorrow night, earns the top seed and receives a quarterfinals bye for the Big Ten Tournament, which begins Wednesday. The Spartans will host a semifinal game on Saturday, March 14, in East Lansing, Mich.
