Penn State Advances to NCAA Frozen Four
Nittany Lions capture Allentown Regional title

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Matt DiMarsico scored 17:56 into overtime to lift No. 4 seed Penn State to a 3-2 victory over No. 2 seed Connecticut in the NCAA Allentown Regional Final Sunday. The win propelled the Nittany Lions to their first-ever Frozen Four.
No. 12/13-ranked Penn State (22-13-4) will meet No. 8/8-ranked Boston University (23-13-2) of Hockey East on Thursday, April 10, at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo. Puck drop will be at 8:30 p.m. ET with ESPN2 broadcasting the national semifinal.
Coach Guy Gadowsky’s squad has been on a tear since the new year began, going unbeaten in 19 of 23 games (15-4-4).
Penn State’s regional victory marks the fourth-straight year the Big Ten Conference will have representation at the Frozen Four.
