Minnesota, Penn State and Wisconsin Collect Star Awards
Nittany Lions’ Seifarth, Badgers’ Mosley and Gophers’ Lamb honored
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Three Stars of the Week for hockey games played Nov. 26-Dec. 1.
First Star
John Seifarth, Penn State
Jr. – G – Pittsburgh, Pa. — Penn State (ACHA)
- Won his first two NCAA career starts, leading Penn State to a nonconference sweep of Colgate, Nov. 26-27, at Pegula Ice Arena
- PSU’s third goaltender stopped 47-of-50 shots (.940 save percentage), posting a 1.50 goals-against average against the Raiders
- Helped PSU go 4-for-4 on the penalty kill and made a stick save that was featured on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays
- A member of the Penn State ACHA club team last season, Seifarth earns his first career Star award

Second Star
Ryland Mosley, Wisconsin
Gr. – F – Arnprior, Ontario – Michigan Tech (NCAA)
- Turned in a five-point weekend for Wisconsin, which produced a 7-1 win and a 1-1 overtime tie versus Alaska Anchorage, Nov. 29-30, in Madison, Wis.
- Scored a goal with 19 seconds left in regulation after Wisconsin pulled its goalie, then notched the shootout winner in Saturday’s tie
- Recorded two goals, three assists, seven shots, a plus-three rating and two blocked shots
- The Michigan Tech transfer garners his first Big Ten weekly honor

Third Star
Brody Lamb, Minnesota
Jr. – F – Byron, Minn. — Green Bay (USHL)
- Provided a pair of clutch helpers as No. 3/4 Minnesota skated to a 1-1 overtime tie and a 5-2 win against Alaska, Nov. 29-30, in Minneapolis
- Distributed the primary assist on the game-tying goal Friday and assisted on the game-winning goal Saturday
- Netted a short-handed goal in the third period of Saturday’s contest, tying the game and sparking a four-goal surge for the Golden Gophers
- The New York Rangers draft pick receives his third career Star Award, having previously been named Second Star on Nov. 14, 2023 and Second Star on Oct. 29, 2024
