Nittany Lions come up short in first trip to the NCAA Frozen Four

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Penn State’s historic hockey season came to an end Thursday evening with a 3-1 loss to Boston University at the NCAA Frozen Four Semifinals held at the Enterprise Center.
No. 12/5-ranked Penn State (22-14-4) trailed 2-0 after two periods before Nicholas DeGraves scored 2:15 into the third period to make it a one-goal game. No. 8/3-ranked Boston U. (24-13-2) scored on an empty net in the closing minute to seal the win.
Penn State’s appearance marked the fourth-straight year a Big Ten team had advanced to the Frozen Four.
